Oxjam 'Takeover' is the music festival with a difference. Part of a national charity music festival in aid of Oxfam, it has succesfully been going on for the last 5 years helping raise over £1.5 M so far. This is taking place in over 35 cities in the UK at the same time and it's entirely run by keen volunteers who know and love their local music scene, are passionate about Oxfam's work and want to make a difference in the live of others.

The good news is Oxjam will be taking over the City of Cambridge for the first time!

The official festival season may be over, darker days looming in but on Sat 22 October Cambridge will be taken by musical 'storm'. Local residents don't know what is about to hit them: 'Local Music, Global Impact'. What's on?

Advance tickets £8 available from the venues, Ken Stevens Rock Shop, or from We Got Tickets. Tickets on the door £10.

Cambridge Community Samba Band Arco Iris, well known for playing some of the hottest and loudest samba rhythms around, will be busking for Oxjam on Saturday. Starting at 1pm on Parkers Piece, they will head into town and then out again to New Square.
